A very warm welcome awaits you at Le Tilleul Gites
We offer two lovely, family friendly, detached holiday accommodation properties in the beautiful Deux Sevres department in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region, near the romanesque town of Melle
Les Hirondelles is a sympathetically restored barn conversion, accommodating up to 4 people and, with both bedrooms having en-suite facilities, it is ideal for both family and friends sharing a holiday together.
La Boheme is a charming, traditional, French cottage, all on ground level and suitable for up to 4 persons.
Our gites are situated in the pretty village of Paizay le Tort, in the Deux Sevres department in the heart of the Nouvelle Aquitaine region on the south west coast of France. We are within easy travelling distance of Poitiers, La Rochelle, Limoges and Nantes airports, and within a day's drive of Calais and a few hours from the ferry ports of St Malo and Caen.
This beautiful region averages 2,250 hours of sunshine per year, making it the second sunniest region in France and, therefore, an ideal region to visit from early spring to late autumn. In winter months, both gites have a woodburning stove, providing a cosy atmosphere after a day's sightseeing or a walk or cycle ride around the village.
The 7.5 x 3.5 metre above ground pool is shared by all and is situated within a paved and walled area. Sun loungers are available for our guests.
We live in our farmhouse in the grounds and are always pleased to assist with advice if needed and to help make your holiday as special as can be.
We have plenty of trees giving welcome dappled shade from the midday sun, as well as bougainvillea, oleander, lavender, lilac and mock orange amongst the many shrubs that border the gardens. And we must mention the gorgeous lime tree at the entrance which, in French, is Le Tilleul.
In a large converted barn we have a games room, which offers you, a pool table, darts, table tennis, table top football and a small snooker table. Boules, croquet and badminton racquets are also provided for outdoor use. Upstairs is a quiet area where board games can be played or you can just relax on the comfy sofa or chairs
